Gaia Organics Baby Shampoo and Body Wash Review

Gaia Organics Baby Shampoo and Body Wash Review

This is the toddler NOT posing with the soap, and not holding still. She was pretty excited for bath time.

I was very excited to try a baby bath soap and shampoo from Gaia Baby Organics.

My daughter has some pretty sensitive skin and we have to be careful about what we bathe her with. In fact, before she was enrolled in school/daycare, we would easily go a week or more without a bath.. now don’t get grossed out- we use wet washcloths to clean her daily, several times in fact. So she is generally pretty clean.

But once school began, she was literally outside rolling in the dirt and gravel daily.. she needed a bath as soon as she got home, or we would be picking up gravel and dirt all night long.

We noticed that using daily soap was hard on her skin. We have since started alternating soap baths and soap free baths. It just made the skin a little happier.

So with all that being said, we have been very careful with soaps. She has a bit of a citrus allergy on top of all this, so we always need to get her something citrus free. This is kind of hard with a lot of natural products.

I was very pleased to see that the ingredients in Gaia Baby Organics All Natural Baby Shampoo & Body Wash  are citrus free. Instead we are treated with a great selection of naturals including lavender, which is a favorite of mine.

The first bath went well. We have had her home for a few days from school, so she hasn’t really been getting daily washings again, but that is ok!

The scent is incredible. It fills the bathroom and it is not overwhelming- just yummy!

We decided to try a little splash just to see if it would bubble up. She loves bubble baths- but of course with her skin, it is hard to find one that is safe.

Regular natural soaps are not usually terribly bubbly, so I wouldn’t expect this to be that way. It was not a bubble maker- but there were a few to amuse the toddler!

The soap was easy to rinse off, and the toddler was content to be in the tub until her skin fell off.. nothing new about that.

I am pleased to report she is great smelling, clean and did not have any reactions to the product. This is quite a win for us. The soap we have been using is expensive and hard to find, so anything that makes life easier is better for us.

Amazon has a bottle of Gaia Baby Organics All Natural Baby Shampoo & Body Wash on sale now for $12.99.

When you add that to another order, or order a few at a time, the shipping is free. I DO like to keep one on hand in case someone decides to dump an entire bottle in at once.. (hmmm… how do I know about this?)

The folks at Gaia Baby Organics are super nice, and were excited for me to sample this product. I really have a good feeling about them, and you should too!

Overall I am very pleased with this product. We will be running additional toddler tests over the next few weeks, but I am pretty confident it is going to be coming up lavender around here from now on!
