I was recently given the chance to review Prenatal Oxylent.
This is a multi-vitamin that comes in the form of a powder that you mix with water and drink in place of a regular prenatal vitamin.
MANY women, myself included, experience a lot of nausea in pregnancy and sometimes swallowing a vitamin is out of the question.
There were many days during my pregnancy where I was unable to get my multi down. I would try and try, but if you have been through it, you know it is pretty unlikely after the first failure that it will stay down..
I am not pregnant, but I was nursing when I first started testing this formulation. I had been taking my prenatals off and on during nursing but I just ran out around the time this product arrived.
According to the manufacturer Prenatal Oxylent:
- received the highly prestigious Albion Gold Medallion status
- uses a unique effervescent delivery system
- offers exceptional absorption of vital nutrients
- is naturally sweetened with Stevia
I am pretty impressed with the data they shared. This looks like a complete vitamin for pregnancy.
So, all the data in the world is nice but how did it taste?
I thought it tasted just fine!
I was able to mix 2 at a time in a huge glass with ice and I drank it down pretty fast.
(I liked it!)
It mixed in pretty well and stayed that way as long as you didn't leave it sitting a long time. You really don't want to let it sit too long though, or you miss out on the effervescent properties!
I have had issues in the past with getting nauseous (even not pregnant) with a lot of vitamins and supplements that I have tried. I never did figure out what part made me sick.. but the Prenatal Oxylent never made me queasy at all. It felt nice going down, and it stayed down!
Where the heck was this when I was pregnant?
Thanks so much to the folks at Prenatal Oxylent for letting me review this great vitamin. I will be using it and feeling good every day!
