I was recently offered the chance to review Pretty Mommies Maternity Skin Care products. Here is a picture of my skin before I used the products. Not terribly inspiring.

I followed a basic washing process with the cleanser. It smelled really great. I think I smell oranges and I like that a lot.

Here is my skin after the cleanser and brightener

I was a little warm after being caged in the bathroom with the baby, but the skin is looking good.
I was not sure what to expect with this product, but my skin looks clear and clean.

Finally, the most important part of this regimen. During pregnancy your body is very sensitive to spots and again from the sun. (melasma -hyperpigmentation) A sunscreen is a great way to protect your skin and still get outside.  No harsh or weird chemicals here- this is a zinc based cream, which is a physical block as opposed to a chemical reaction like "regular" sunscreen.

Here I am after the sunscreen application. You cannot see it, and that is great!

Overall I am pretty satisfied with this skin care system. I love the lack of toxic chemicals in the products. I had no rashes or reactions to any of the three- and that is actually pretty unusual for my skin. I used it quite a few days in a row to make sure it was a trend, and my skin was looking great.  Zinc sunscreens may feel a little different on your face if you are not used to them, and this one is no exception. However, you will want to use this during pregnancy. You need that coverage! You don't need chemicals.

I found a lot of useful information on their website. Each product is described, and then the ingredients are described too- with almond oil, orange oil etc- it is easy to understand what you are putting on your skin. I wanted to know EVERYTHING about anything I put on my skin when I was pregnant. I was really careful about exposing my daughter to anything nasty.

I will be very happy to keep using this once I am done nursing (whenever that is) so don't feel like this is just for these times. The products are solid on their own, and I think if you stop using them your skin will feel sad!

Thanks so much to Pretty Mommies for letting me try these products! They would like to share some product with you- enter to win!
