Organic Certified, Vegan Certified All Natural Deodorant Review + Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

When you live in Phoenix, you do not mess around with deodorant.. at least I don't. For whatever reason, since I have had a baby, my body chemistry has been off, and I have noticed of late, that I have been giving all my deodorant brands a workout.

I will not lie though- I am an antiperspirant gal. I load my armpits up with aluminum infused sticks of chemical doom every day. I have not been a fan of this, but with the way I burn out the brands, I cannot afford to try a new one every day to find one that works. LUCKILY I was asked to review a brand of deodorant that is organic. Vegan certified. And it has NO aluminum.

I will also not lie- I was afraid. I did not want to have a funk. I sweat a lot. It is already in the 90's here and by this point I have not adjusted and my body cries out, in the form of armpit stink.

North Coast Organics sent me 3 samples of their deodorant to try Death by Lavender, Revolver and Naked.

They sent a nice handwritten note, and I already loved them. Their packaging was eco friendly and reusable. This is a company that is doing it right for the environment.

They have clever info that they sent over:

"Death will kill [odor] for you.  She relishes snuffing odor out. She bares her true face for it puts odor on notice.  Death is a cocky, elite assassin that will never miss her target.  She is unlike any other deodorant you will meet.

Ingredients(Vegan): Coconut Oil*, Carnauba Wax*, Cornstarch*, Baking Soda, and Proprietary Blend of Essential Oils*  .    *Certified Organic

Revolver is unlike any other deodorant you will ever use.  Revolver shoots down odor wherever it lurks and will never miss its target.  Unholster Revolver today and send odor to an early grave.

I liked these guys immediately. When selling defunkinator, I think you have to have a sense of humor.

But none of this will amuse me if I stink.

So how did it go?

I decided that I was in love with Death by Lavender right away. *HA* The lavender scent was so yummy that I was pretty excited to slather my pits with it. The texture was pleasing. Smooth, creamy and I just knew this stuff was never going to clump off in chunks like some of my other antiperspirants...

I tried it first on my daughter's birthday. It was going to be a day in the park. A cool day, but in the sun, and full of movement. I was going to sweat.

Did I stink? No. Except of lavender. I seemed to not smell it a little time after I put it on, but after I got a little active, I could smell it working its little brains out making my armpits smell better. THANK GOODNESS!

I was in love. In fact, I didn't try the other two samples for another week. I didn't want to mess with a good thing.

So, eventually I did. Revolver has a patchouli smell. It is pretty yummy. Lavender and patchouli are my 2 faves so this was perfect. I will admit though, I did not find Revolver to last as long for odor fighting as Death. naked was leaving me the same way. When I say they didn't last as long- I would say they went 12-15 hours, where the Death scent lasted me a little over a day and a half (sometimes I don't get a bath every day.)

Is that a reasonable expectation for any deodorant? Probably not, but Death made the grade on my stink. I suspect normal people will have normal results.. lol

All 3 were great in the antiperspirant department. Is that odd? Maybe. Coconut oil is pretty magical so it may be the winner. They are not marketed as such, but I think they did the task anyway.

None of the 3 left any residue on my clothes. No white stains when I pulled my shirt over my head. When my daughter rubbed her head on my armpit when we were snuggling, I didn't cringe thinking she would be covered in my toxic armpit goo. WIN!

So, would I suggest these to a friend- YES. Especially if they stink;)

Thanks so much to North Coast Organics for letting me try these products. I am stink free and loving it:)
